Geometry, matter, light, color: the four elements that have always made the Acerbis design thinking unique went on stage with Design Code. The exclusive preview of the 2018 Acerbis Collection marked a great success during the 57th edition of Salone del Mobile, Milan.
The recently closed edition registered a record turnout from more than 188 Countries, confirming the international and cosmopolitan soul of the worldwide greatest stage for interior design.
Acerbis welcomed clients, visitors and design aficionados with an elegant and sophisticated stand, which enhanced the 2018 collection: GIANO table designed by Marco Acerbis, a piece that is able to surprise with its evolving architecture; ALTEREGO LOW sideboard designed by Giacomo Moor, which expands the Acerbis containers offer for the living room; MOODBOARD table and console, first project by Massimo Mariani for Acerbis, and the evolutions of ELIQUE table and N.C. LANDSCAPE wall unit designed by Massimo Castagna.
The 2018 Collection introduces a new code of materials and colors that allows endless compositional harmonies, in which products interact naturally in a perfect interpretation of contemporary interiors. The asymmetrical and complementary geometries lighten the visual perception, creating ever new compositional perspectives; the materials that arise from the experimental reprocessing of ancient craft skills and know-how, overcoming the classical concept of finishes and becoming volume and the object of design. The technological integration with lighting and home entertainment systems extend the project’s boundaries towards flexible, unlimited spaces that strongly express the idea of refinement, beauty and balance.
The palette of materials and finishes is enriched by the new wood addition, Swamp Ash, produced from fossil logs formed by a very long, non-replicable natural process that gives the wood unique and precious material effects; the original spatulated finish done by hand using a volcanic earth-based cement coating and lastly, the evolution of brushed metal finishes obtained with the application of special paints, developed using nanotechnologies and containing real metal microparticles for a unique, precious effect.
