Acerbis since 1870

Acerbis since 1870

Acknowledged as one of the first few Italian companies to contribute to the emergence and diffusion of Italian designer furniture, Acerbis was founded in 1870 in Albino at the entrance to the Val Seriana. It began as an artisan workshop belonging to Benvenuto Acerbis to produce solid wood furniture and furnishings.
A long history of research and innovation, and constant reinterpretation to keep up-to-date. An approach to projects and production consisting of both theoretical and technical research and experiments on materials, accurate details, together with an awareness of how to use materials and colour and how to apply and integrate technologies and technically and qualitatively advanced finishes with structural and functional clarity. Acerbis has taken time and fashions in its stride to create timeless, state-of-the-art projects and products. Material plays the star role in the collection, which today is coordinated by Massimo Castagna to offer new combinations and new concepts. Stone, cement, glass, metals, lacquers, wood: natural finishes and special processes, shiny and matt, transparent and opaque, perfect and practical, affinities and opposites bound together to form a distinct unique language.
