The skilful experiments with textures and shades of Massimo Mariani’s Moodboard Console gracefully mixes wood, brass, and marble to create a playful yet elegant multi-material surface.

The low sideboard can be personalized with a combination of top materials, and a polished steel or brass tray can be added as a valet or utility tray, which also functions as an integral part of the design and structure when not in use.

Matt white arabesque marble MR02

White arabesque marble, extracted from the Alpi Apuane, is a fine marble characterised by its crystal white colour and dark grey veins. Marble white arabescato and selected stones enhance the veins and shades. The deep hues and brightness of the mineral mosaics are the result of thousands of years of the stone’s natural metamorphic process and are skilfully brought to light in all their beauty.

Matt graphite grey marble MR03

Graphite grey marble, from Iran, denotes great elegance. It is a fine marble of an intense grey colour with variable shades and white calcitised irregularities. Graphite grey marble and selected stones enhance the veins and shades. The deep hues and brightness of the mineral mosaics are the result of thousands of years of the stone’s natural metamorphic process and are skilfully brought to light in all their beauty.

Dark stained walnut ES59

Canaletto walnut has a medium tone with soft colour variations, making it one of the most popular woods in recent years. The dark colour shade enhances the value and elegance of the material.

Swamp ash ES57

Special veneer identified as a ''fossil'' since obtained from trunks found below ground, where they have been preserved under layers of clay for hundreds of years. The anaerobic environment inhibited the growth of microorganisms preventing the inexorable process of slow decay. On the contrary, over time the internal elements are transformed and others have been added: the mineral salts are combined with those present in the wood matrix, slowly transforming the organic state. This long natural process, which cannot be replicated, gives the wood a unique, precious appearance, with surprising colours and textures. The aging of the wood can also cause the formation of cracks and splits which are puttied and repaired but not eliminated during processing, because they are the signs of time that provide evidence of the great age and uniqueness of the material.
